COATS FOR KIDS
Our 2016 Coats for Kids event held on October 29th at the First Baptist Church in Simcoe was another great success!
We distributed ..... 336 coats & items of warm clothing that Burtol Cleaners collected & cleaned; and Cathy Maxwell's amazing Langton Knitters hand-crafted 219 hats & mitt sets, 12 hats, 15 mitts, 4 pairs of socks, 20 blankets and 11 pyjama sets; plus a few other misc sets of donated warm items - all were distributed to needy Families in Norfolk plus we provided some items to the Salvation Army in Simcoe, Norfolk Pregnancy Centre, Mount Pleasant Elementary School's Coats program, Don Emerson's Mexico Program and Helga's 'Up North' Program!
A huge thanks go out to our key Supporters - Burtol Cleaners, First Baptist Church, Second Ave Printing, myFM and the Simcoe Reformer; and to our Sunrise Rotary Club Members who all helped make this worthy event happen - Bettyann, Donna, Nancy, Pete W, Andy, Don E, Jim D, John W, Barb TB and Dave N!
Together we have helped a lot of Families have a warmer winter - thank you!
