March 26 - Norfolk Sunrisers enjoyed a special “off site” meeting at the Watts Sugar bush. It was wonderful to see several repatriates with us for the meeting, and it was a very lively and educational event - plus the food was great! The meeting was at Maple Ridge Pancake House, featuring local maple syrup and delicious sausages with pancakes.
Gary Watts is shown in front of his oil-burning condenser, which is very expensive to operate using oil. This year Gary purchased a reverse osmosis unit that is much more efficient at filtering water from the sap, so now only needs to run the oil-burner 4 hours daily instead of eleven.
