Coldest Night of the Year
It's that time again.  Coldest Night of the Year is set for February 25, 2023.  Mark you calendars!
Last year, for the first time ever participating, RCNS raised an amazing amount of funds to support Youth Unlimited Norfolk- over $10,000. We were in competition (unknowingly) with another Rotary club in BC for the highest amount raised in the COUNTRY for Rotary clubs.  The other club eked us out at the very end (I blame it on time zones-they had more time)  For those that are new, we register with Coldest Night of the Year, we get people to sponsor your participation and then we go for a walk on one of our beautiful Norfolk County trails.  This year, we will be starting from Memorial Park at the end of Owen Street in Simcoe.  We are not creatures of the night so our walk will start at 1:00 . Go as far or as short as you like!  There are no rules.  Last year we even had members walking on the beach in Mexico to support us.
Dan Avey from Youth Unlimited Norfolk will be our speaker at the end of this month. He will tell you all about where this money goes and who it supports. He does quite amazing work. It tugged at all our heart strings last year as it will this year.
To register or even to just pledge your support, please go to:

Hot chocolate will be on offer and this year some Baileys for those so inclined.
We already have 4 team members signed up and one of them is going gang busters with fund raising!
Remember all those kids you sponsored over the years?  All the boxes of chocolate covered almonds, church cookbooks, cases of apples and oranges?  Here's your chance to get some pay back...
For those that raise at least $150, CNOY will give you a pretty nice hat.  Last year it was yellow but this year it is black and gray.
