Ryan Elliott

B.E.Sc., P.Eng., BDS, Consulting Engineer & Director of Structural Engineering

Ryan Elliott is a Principal at Vallee and the Managing Director of the Structural Engineering Department at G. Douglas Vallee Limited, overseeing the Structural Bridge and Structural Building divisions. He has held this position as a Principal and Director since 2009.

Born and raised in Norfolk County, Ryan continues to call the area home with his wife, Shannon and their three children. Ryan grew up on a third-generation farm in Bloomsburg, playing in the shadow of a Roman stone arch culvert, which is the only heritage-designated bridge in Norfolk County and, undoubtedly, served as a vehicle for his future studies and eventual career. He would go on to graduate from Western University’s Civil Engineering program with a major in Structural and a minor in Geotechnical engineering. In 2005 he earned his License to Practice from Professional Engineers of Ontario. In addition to his education and work, Ryan has been an active and contributing community member for over 20 years. He was the founding President of Norfolk Rugby and 20 years later still maintains a close connection with the Club, now introducing his children to the game. He also served for many years as an OMHA Officials Supervisor and the Referee-in-Chief for Waterford Minor Hockey.

Over the course of his career, Ryan has cultivated a niche focus on heritage projects. From buildings to bridges, some of his past work was successfully completed in conjunction with heritage professionals and landscape architects for municipal clients.
