Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise members Jim and Marjorie Dawson are freshly back from their latest trip to Pikangikum FN in Northern Ontario.
While on-site contributing other support, they provided students with canoe training with the Grade 6 Project Journey class and also the high school outdoor class. Both classes were enthusiastic about canoeing and many were able to be certified in basic canoeing. The trip had to be cut a bit short as the high level of smoke from regional fires meant that the planned canoe trip had to be postponed.
