Imagine a special village in Haldimand-Norfolk where local schools could send our children to learn about safety in a very hands-on way.  Most children learn best this way.

That’s the dream of Tom Myerscough, and Patti Cote, shown in photo, plus several others.

Supporters are well organized and have joined Tom to form a registered charitable organization with a board of directors, corporate by-laws and the whole nine yards. The Community and Children’s Safety Village of Haldimand and Norfolk will be built from scratch in a location that is central between Dunnville and Fairground – provided that adequate funds are raised from grants and local donations.

Current partners in this exciting initiative include local OPP, Fire and EMS providers.  Thirteen similar safety villages already exist in other Ontario communities, with Brantford being the closest.
