On Tuesday morning, 21 Jan '25, Dave Douglas welcomed and introduced Stu MacKenzie as our guest speaker representing Birds Canada.  With a supporting slide presentation, Stu spoke to us about issues related to our understanding, appreciation, and conservation of birds in Canada. Of particular interest was his explanation of the improved tracking systems being used and the development of the bird observatories in the local Norfolk community.
More information about Stu as an individual is enclosed at the "Read more ..." tab whilst more general info about Birds Canada may be found by clicking here.
After a very informative question period, Linda Muir offered our RNCS appreciation for Bird Canada's work to improve the general issues related to birds in Canada and for Stu's most informative perspective. Stu was then presented with a certificate of appreciation acknowledging a woman whose sight had been restored as a part of our work with, and support of, Operation Eyesight.
