On Tuesday morning, 23 Apr 2024, we welcomed pharmacist Steve Flexman as our Guest Speaker. Steve is a former member of RCNS and as Mary Mercato said in her introduction, he is following in his parents' footsteps with community service and volunteerism. Steve spoke about the services pharmacies provide as part of community health : compounding of medicines; providing medication for specific minor ailments; travel consultations ; injections; special packaging like blister packs and strip packs for those taking 4 or more medications; medication reviews. At the same time pharmacists are always using their problem-solving skills to address drug shortages and shortages in trained personnel. Steve answered many questions from the audience.
