Recently, Community Services Chair, Scott Williams made a cash donation to Stephanie Demeyer; sole Volunteer for Norfolk region.The Shoebox Project for Women is an unaffiliated, non-religious, Canadian charity that supports women experiencing or at-risk-of homelessness, and that celebrates diversity, builds awareness, challenges stigma and promotes equity. Our mission is to uplift and empower these women through in-kind support, education, and community participation. The donated funds will be used to buy products to fulfill our need of 20 gifts-filled shoeboxes to local shelters in Norfolk region.
The Shoebox Project serves Women at local shelters such as: Quetzal Family Homes, Indwell, Halidmand Norfolk Women's Services, Haldimand Norfolk REACH and many more in Haldimand & Brant region as well. What a great community support organization doing great work for this in need in our community.
